The Word for today is found in Deuteronomy 28:1-2

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt harken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee if thou shalt harken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

And Galatians 3: 13 and 14 tells us: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Jesus took the curses so we could freely walk in all the blessing of Deut. 28, with the provision that we diligently listen to the voice of the Lord and do his Word.

How great is that! Yet we fall far short of receiving the wonderful things that God has for us as his children because we are too busy to read and do his will.

We have time for all the things of this world but very little time for God.

My husband said once, and it is so true, that we will always find time for those things we think will promote us or bring us pleasure. Boy do we miss Deut. 28 by a mile!

Read all the blessings and see how short we have fallen from the walk that God has so graciously prepared for us. We can’t earn it; we just need to walk in his blessings by faith in the Lord.

Be a love magnet for Christ today, Pastor Louise.
