The Word for today is found in Ephesians 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

The book of Ephesians and Colossians are two of the most doctrinal epistles in the New Testament. Ephesians deals with who we are in Christ, and Colossians deals with who Christ is as the head of the church.

The first chapter of Ephesians is full of all the wonderful things that were given to us at the New Birth–things that you did not earn or deserve but came through the Grace of God.

These are the truths that God wants you to walk out in your outward man for the world to see.

The production of these gifts do not become evident in your flesh without being diligent to study and apply what you know on a day-to-day basis.

Some of what was given to you at the cross 2,000 years ago is listed below:

• Blessed us with all spiritual blessings
• Chose us (God foreknew you)
• Holy
• Without blame
• Adopted into the family of God
• Made us accepted in Christ Jesus
• Redemption
• Forgiveness of sins
• Given all wisdom and good sense
• Made known the mystery of his will
• Sealed with the Holy Spirit

God did all this so that we should be to the praise of his glory.

Study the Word, and pray and you will be an overcomer.

Love in Christ, Pastor Louise
