The Word for today is found in Psalm 62:2, 6-8
2He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. 6He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved. 7In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
David said several times that God is his only salvation and his defense.
Are you looking to God as your defender, or to your own flesh?
David understood the covenant he had with God, and that God would always uphold his end of the covenant.
We need to have the same kind of revelation in our hearts of what God is willing to do for us, and then rest in the finished works of Jesus.
If you want to fight your battles then God will let you, but I can assure you that you are no match for Satan. If you stay in the Spirit, then you will defeat him every time. But get in the flesh, and he will take you down.
As you understand the authority and the weapons that God has given you in the name of Jesus, you will not be moved. Paul said when you have done all the Word said to do, then stand and rejoice in the victory that is assured you.
Be of good cheer today, for if God is for you, then who can prevail against you?
Love in Christ, Pastor Louise
