The Word for the day is found in 2 Corinthians 2: 14, 15.

14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

The world is looking for winners and too many Christians allow the problems and defeats in their lives to be the fragrance they give off.

You need to be stable in these troubled times, and you cannot develop the roots you need outside of your study in the Word.

I love perfume and am very picky what I chose to wear. I remember going on a date once and asked the boy I was out with if he liked my new perfume. He said he liked water if he was not drowning in it. We can overwhelm people if we wear our fragrance incorrectly.

Some people feel they have been spiritually overwhelmed, yet at other times they cannot tell if we have any fragrance on at all.

One of the best ways to wear your fragrance is to have the joy of the Lord when all around you is falling apart. That will get others’ attention faster than anything.

By the way my favorite perfume is called JOY, and I still wear it today.

Love in Christ, Pastor Louise.
