The Word for today is found in 2 Timothy 1: 12-13

For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

Paul was bold to proclaim who he believed in and what he believed.

Today many Christians are ridiculed for their stand on what they believe to be the truth. This is not a time for us to draw back, but to stand fast in our commitment to Christ.

Faith and love always work together along with patience. If you are going to hold fast to the Word then you need to continue in study and prayer. Make it the center of your life, for it is the only way to be fully persuaded that God will always do what he says in his Word.
