The Word for today is found in Psalms 119:57-60 and 63-64.

57 Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy Words. 58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy Word. 59I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. 60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. 64 The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes. (KJV)

Notice in these verses how many times David said I (he) would do something. We are not waiting on God to do something, but God is waiting on us to respond to what he has already done for us.

It is up to you and me to purpose in our hearts to keep his Word all the time, and not just when it seems convenient. That means that when we are around people who are not believers, we are not to shy away from being who we really are. Those are the times when your true colors will show.

Take a good look at yourself, examine yourself, and then deal with what does not line up with the truth of the Word.

Be sure that your thoughts are pure, for Jesus said sin starts in your thoughts. What you think and dwell on will eventually be played out in your life in one way or another.

David said he was careful who he spent quality time with. You hang out with those who are not walking in line with the Word and they will take you down. That means unbelievers and believers. We are not to separate ourselves from the world, but we are not to fellowship with the world.

Go find someone you can be a blessing to today and spread the joy around.

Love in Christ, Pastor Louise.
