The Word for today is found in Philippians 3:4-5
Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say rejoice! Let your gentleness (consideration) be known to all men, The Lord is at hand.
It is one thing to rejoice in the Lord when all is going your way. But when all hell seems to have broken loose, then it is another matter to feel full of joy.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit and is not based on circumstances, but only on what the Word says.
God never did say all would go honky-dory, but he did say that if we put our trust in him he would have us come out on the other side victorious. God will see you through any situation if you do not lose your confidence in his promises.
Rejoicing in the Lord always is a mature Christian who has been fully convinced that God is more than able to deliver them from any weapon the Devil may try to use against them.
I was at a horse show this past weekend and there was a girl who butted in in front of me to show her horse. It was so rude, but I just smiled and let it go. Not only was the Lord watching, but all the people around me were watching to see what I would do.
It is that kind on situations that God’s character shows through to the world. Be considerate to people at all times even when they do not deserve it.
The world is looking more at your actions than at what you say. Walk the walk, then talk the talk.
Love in Christ, Pastor Louise.
