The Word for today is found in 1 Peter 2:11

Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against your soul.

We so often want to blame things on the Devil. As Flip Wilson used to say, “the Devil made me do it!”

The Devil cannot make you do anything against your will any more than God can.

Our biggest enemy is our own unrenewed flesh. As Peter said, your flesh wars against your spirit and the one who calls the shots is your mind.

An unrenewed mind will side with the flesh every time and cause you to be carnal in your actions.

Keep studying the Word and give the Holy Spirit something to work with and God will change you from glory to glory.
